A preview of Melissa + Alex Jaeger’s wedding

These two met in 2017 as R. A’s at Bradley University, in Peoria, IL and are both from St. Louis, MO.
For their first date they had a whole day planned, super cute😊. They went to the city Peoria Heights, had pub food at W.E. Sullivan’s, painted mugs at Fired Up, and ice cream for dessert at Emack and Bolio’s.

Before Alex’s collage graduation they had “their last day in Peoria” day. They went to lunch and went to the iconic water tower overlook. Alex proposed to Melissa and then it started to rain. She said “it was beautiful and I was totally surprised.” Afterwards, they took pictures and Alex surprised Melissa again by bringing their families together for a celebration!

These two say their date style is casual and that their favorite activity to do together is mini-golf. They also love trying out new restaurants together. Melissa enjoys reading, playing board games and puzzles (an old soul😊) and Alex enjoys playing video games, playing racquetball and podcasts. Melissa and Alex love music like, Switchfoot, Twenty One Pilots and Jon McLaughlin. The shows they can’t miss are The Office (one of my favorites as well😊), Avatar the Last Airbender and That 70's Show.
Melissa and Alex were wed at the lovely Stone House of St. Charles. They had a short and sweet ceremony where they braided a cord for their unity ceremony.

The ceremony/reception space has this wonderful and unique stained-glass wall that we really liked and at night, they light it up!
This place is awesome to work at! The getting ready house for the ladies is simply wonderful.

Each room is complete with a large mirror, perfect for dress photos/video and bride photos/video, neat furniture and plenty of bathrooms. The getting ready house for the guys is also amazing. Complete with pool table, every vintage video game you could want, big screen TV, and huge couch.

They ended the evening with a grand sparkler exit and immediately headed to their “get-away car” decorated with “just-married” banner and streamers.
After they left everybody cheered and clapped for the parents of the couple and we captured a heart-felt moment, each set of parents kissed and held up their sparklers.
These two are so nice and sweet and you can see in their photos and video, of how much these two love each other. Their families and friends were also so nice and such warm and welcoming people. Truly a joy to be around all the way around! We’ve had such a pleasure getting to know Melissa and Alex and had such great time photographing and filming their wedding and wish them Best Wishes and a lifetime of happiness.
