A sneak peek of Sure Shot’s favorite photos from an engagement session we had in Forest Park, MO. Shay and Jeff are such a cute and quirky couple who are always ready for any adventure, including hiking up a muddy hill to get the perfect shot. Forest Park is such a beautiful and iconic place it would be very easy to stay all day and take photos especially with this loving and affectionate couple. We had a lot of fun with these two and cannot wait for their wedding day next October! A sneak peek of the Borlesch wedding on October 13th, 2018. Everything took place at the Falls Reception and Conference center in Columbia, IL. A beautiful venue with an outside area for the ceremony with a waterfall and inside banquet area for reception. Heather and Ryan are a fun-loving, laid-back couple who love the outdoors and nature. They had lots of fall and outdoor themes throughout their rustic wedding day. They had a short and sweet ceremony and did a “branding” for their unity ceremony where they branded a piece of wood with their names and date on it. For “half-time photos” Heather and Ryan took us to Herbeck’s Lake that was that an amazing old quarry that had filled with water. It was cold but Heather, Ryan and their wedding party were troopers and the photos came out beautiful. As we always say “cold weather makes for beautiful pictures”. We had a great time filming and photographing Heather and Ryan’s wedding and wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations guys. This sweet and loving couple were married at a unique and cute barn venue called The Stables at Walnut Springs in Fredericktown, MO. Both the ceremony and reception were outside on an extremely bright, sunny and hot day which made things a little difficult. Jenna and Alec had such positive attitudes and were troopers throughout the day. They even agreed to do a night shot which truly turned out amazing. We had a great time filming and photographing their wedding and look forward to the next chapter for this cute family. Blaire + Trevor's mini cinematic trailerAbove is a mini cinematic which is a slower highlight video with some audio incorporated and the vows from the ceremony. This lovely couple picked the song “Something Beautiful” by Tim Halperin which fit perfectly with them. Blaire and Trevor were wed at the beautiful St. Francis Xavier College Church on September 29th, 2018. They had a classic style wedding and Blaire wanted a video that reflected that. After a lovely ceremony and formals at the church, it was time for “half time” photos. We boarded the party bus and headed the new arch grounds, Kiener Plaza. After some fun there with the drone, we headed Bush Stadium and lastly to Forest Park for some more drone shots. The reception was at the elegant Chase Park Plaza where we captured some amazing terrace shots for them. We especially love the silhouette sunset shot that we captured. We had an amazing time filming Blaire and Trevor’s wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations and Best Wishes!

Everything took place at the Edwardsville, IL at Holiday Shores Lake. A cute and private lake community where Eddie and Erin live. The couple and their wedding party members got ready in separate locations and then headed to the ceremony locating via pontoon boats. Erin had so many wonderful elements she worked into the wedding to make it unique to them such as her Beatles themed garters, everyone’s matching Sperry flip flops, and wooden flower bouquets and boutonnieres. It was a short and sweet ceremony that took place at the local clubhouse. The ceremony was right on the lake and you could watch the boat go by as the couple exchanged vows and rings. We had a great time filming and photographing Erin and Eddie’s wedding and wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations guys. Everything took place at the St. Louis Renaissance Hotel by the airport. Maggie and Frank are a fun and outgoing couple who love their dogs (don’t we all😊)It was a short and sweet ceremony that incorporated one of Maggie and Franks dogs. In fact, their whole wedding day was dog themed, from the clever signage to the dog treats for everyone to take home and even thier cake topper. We even snagged a couple of dog treats for our dog as well. This group really knows how to party and we stayed almost till the end of the night. We had a great time filming and photographing Maggie and Frank’s wedding and wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations guys. It was a short and sweet ceremony and then it was time for what we like to call halftime photos. We took a few in Innsbrook, then we headed to Old Town Wentzville, and lastly Fort Zumwalt Park. This venue and Mckinley have been so good to us. We were invited to come take photos of their open house where potential clients and already booked clients could come out and see the venue all set up and ready to go. Its always great to be able to view your venue set up for ceremony and reception. They even let us set up a small area to hand out cards and talk to everyone. One of my favorite treats they had was Narwhal's Crafted Urban Ice that basically serve alcoholic slushies. We love working with all the people at Forest Park and we can not thank them enough for everything.

Milne- Catering Brad Merten-Co-owner-Narwhal's Above are a few of our favorite photos from our newborn session with little Brody Bailey. We filmed and photographed his parent's wedding and now we are lucky enough to photograph Brody’s newborn session. His nursery is cutely decorated with an adventure theme. teepees, arrows and soccer are among the many adorable things in his nursery. He was such a good baby and once fussed once during the session. We are so happy that we were able to capture this little cutie and to watch this family continue to grow. Congratulations guys and Best Wishes! We met up with Mallory and Jesse at the fun and unique area of downtown Kirkwood, MO. Mallory and Jesse both went to high school in Kirkwood and say "they basically grew up in the Kirkwood area". So, we were sure to use all the best places for pictures. We used and love the train station, the famous Kirkwood bridge over the train tracks, and the iconic farmers market. We had such a fun time getting to know these two during the engagement session and can not wait for their upcoming wedding in March.
A sneak peek of Sure Shot’s favorite photos from our most recent engagement session. Rob and I have a pretty tight group of friends and we are fortunate enough to have friends like Katee and Dani. When they finally announced that they were getting married, we couldn't have been more excited for them. Then they picked us to photograph their wedding and engagement session. We all decided that The Grove would be a fun place to have a photo session. The Grove is known for being a strong center of the LGBT community in the St. Louis area. We started at The Atomic Cowboy, one of Katee and Dani's favorite places to hangout and have a beer. They really wanted a photo with the black cat mural and we had to get a shot of the iconic Grove neon sign that welcomes you into the area. We also love the Grove mural that is also iconic to the area. We had a lot of fun with these two and cannot wait for their wedding day! A sneak peek of a maternity session shot at a St. Charles family farmland sunflower field. Back in 2016, we photographed Maddie and Bryan engagement session. Then in 2017 we filmed and photographed their wedding. Now, in 2018 we have the pleasure of photographing their maternity session and the newborn session when Brody finally arrives in just a few weeks. We had so much fun photographing this session and spending time with Maddie and Bryan again. We are so excited for them and cannot wait for Mr. Brody to arrive to help this family continue to grow! A sneak peek, of the O’Neal wedding at Le Belle Coeur for the ceremony and reception all in St. Charles, MO. We started out the day at the Ameristar Casino Hotel getting shots of the girls getting hair and makeup done. Next we headed to the Old Stone Chapel in St. Charles across the street from the ceremony venue so the girls could get dressed. We took advantage of this beautiful space by getting wedding dress pics and doing a "first look" with Tori and Brad. Brad was blindfolded for the "first look" and it was so funny to watch as he was carefully lead down the stairs to his beautiful bride. It was a short and sweet ceremony and then it was time for what we like to call "halftime" photos. It was extremely hot but everyone hung in there like champs. While taking photos at the gazebo, they had someone bring their Chihuahua, dressed in a little tux for a few photos. We headed to the reception and Tori and Brad agreed to come back outside for a few more photos after dinner. We had a lovely time photographing Tori and Brad's wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. This is a huge and breathtakingly beautiful church, that’s full of ornate detail and everything is lit amazingly. After Sergio and Anne’s catholic ceremony it was off in the limo to Forest Park for pictures. We got all the photos done just in time for the rain that came out of nowhere. One second perfectly blue skis, the next a giant ominous rain cloud to ruin our fun☹. The reception at the hotel had an awesome lobby with a very classy chandelier that we used for a few more photos and then it was reception time. The couple had a choregraphed first dance to the song “Stand by Me” first the original version then in turned into a bachata “Spanish” style version. We had an amazing time filming and photographing Anne and Sergio’s wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations and Best Wishes! Donna called me early the month before and informed me this was the only time they had to have the whole family together since they had family in all the way from Canada. Mom is 80 and her had 10 children that all created their own families. We had a total of 51 people to photograph on this hot and humid St. Louis July day and the backyard did not have much shade. Donna and her sister were on it with big industrial fans outside for everyone, offering water to everyone and even had a shot list made up on a big white board. They were all troopers and we got the session done in under 2 hours. We had great time photographing this large family and look forward to seeing them all again in the future.
A sneak peek of the Jackson wedding in Aviston, IL at the Hidden Lake Winery venue. This was such a beautiful place with a lovely little pond. We also liked the ivy growing all over the outside of the deck awning. Breana and Josh are such a fun and loving couple as you can see from their photos. The ceremony was originally planned for outside but since the heat index was well above 100 degrees they decided to move it inside. The area where the ceremony was held had huge windows that let in plenty of light and made it quite neat looking. Breana and Josh have 2 matching Golden Retriever dogs that were incorporated into the ceremony as well. For the reception, the couple had a choreographed first dance that was very enjoyable and upbeat. Breana and her dad also had a choreographed dance together that started slow and then, all of a sudden, they broke out into a bunch of different fun dances and clips of different music for each. Those dances really helped get the dance floor packed when the DJ finally opened it after all the specialty dances. I think the crowd was ready to show off their best and worst dance moves. Breana and Josh had quite a few children at the wedding and made sure to incorporate them into the bouquet and garter tosses by tossing a stuffed animal for the girls and a jersey for the boys. They ended the night with floating lanterns over the pond which set the tone on a romantic evening. We had an amazing time photographing Breana and Josh’s wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations and Best Wishes! Wedding Theme: Colorful, purple and aqua Caterer: Hidden Lake Winery DJ: Complete Weddings Wedding Dress: Elegant Brides- Edwardsville, IL Above are a few of our favorite photos from a 10-year anniversary session we had with Allison and Ryan. Ryan really wanted to do something special for their 10-year anniversary, and boy did he deliver. The night started out with dinner (Mexican-Allison’s favorite), music and dancing at the Majorette! in St. Louis (Maplewood area). It was such a beautiful site seeing their table, all alone, in the large space, like something out of the movies. We had a great time capturing pictures and video with them at this private venue. Next, we went to Pioneer Park in Des Peres, MO for another surprise for Allison. This park is very special because it's where these two met for the first time. When we arrived, Paul from Noteworthy Music, was already there, playing beautiful music on the violin. The couple had their own private concert, it was so romantic. We had a wonderful time capturing this wonderful evening for this cute couple. Thanks for letting us be a part of your special evening and congratulations!
Above are a few of our favorite photos from a rustic style wedding we shot in St. Charles, MO at Old Hickory Golf Club. It’s nice having the ceremony and reception are in the same location so we have more time for photos and video and less time on travel. We arrived well before the ceremony to get some of the “formals” out of the way since we did not have much time after the ceremony. This is a great idea if you do not have much time in between your ceremony and reception. It was an outside evening ceremony at 5 o’clock and the sun looked beautiful as it was setting over the golf course. Alex and Deion had a simple but lovely archway set up for the ceremony with 2 very large trees on each side. There was a young man sitting on a stool playing acoustic music as everyone walked in. They had a short and sweet ceremony where they recited their own vows, there was not a dry eye in the crowd. Everybody was ready to party for the reception and enjoy the A/C. They young man playing the acoustic music for the ceremony also DJed the reception and everyone loved the photobooth. We had an amazing time filming and photographing Alex and Deion’s wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations and Best Wishes! Above is a few of our favorite photos from the newborn session we had with little Morrison. We filmed his parents wedding and now we are lucky enough to photograph Morrison’s newborn session. We are so happy that we were able to capture this little cutie and to watch this family continue to grow. Congratulations guys and Best Wishes!
Above are a few of our favorite photos from a rustic/chic style wedding we shot in Swansea, IL. Rob and I started off the day with the girls getting hair and makeup done at Niki’s house, one of Kayla’s bridesmaids. Then we headed to the ceremony and reception location at Schranz Memorial park. The building inside the park was a cute barn like building. The ceremony was a beautiful, short, sweet, and a little windy. The park provided for some unique bride and groom formals. The playground looked like a Lego castle and since Matt has a collection of Legos, it was the perfect spot to grab a few shots. The reception was filled with laughter, tears, fun dance moves and a sparkler send off that put an end to the evening. We had an amazing time filming and photographing Kayla and Matt’s wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations and Best Wishes! #Togetherinharmony

We met Holly and her family at the Jewel Box in Forest Park. It was supposed to be a dreary day so Holly picked the Jewel Box so we could stay warm and dry. It was very busy inside, apparently, everyone had the same idea as us, but we were able to get all the shots we needed. As always, Holly and her family are perfectly color coordinated, with yellow and navy blue. This family is a perfect example of how to dress for family photos. We also had the pleasure of doing another session within the family session. Autumn is one years old now and we were so happy to be able to take her photos once again. We loved her cute dress and her cute pink bunny, that had her name embordered on the ear. She is a tough cookie to crack as we had a hard time getting her to smile. She sure is cute, even when she pouts. It was a great session, and we love seeing this family continue to grow.
Below is a few of my favorite photos from Jack's 3rd birthday session with us. We've had the pleasure of photographing Mr. Jack for his 2nd birthday last year. This little man has tons of energy and loves to play with beads. Some of these photos were done at the Blanchette Park, in St. Charles, MO, where we let Jack run some of his energy out. The other photos were taken at our studio in historic St. Charles, MO. Jack just became an other brother to his little brother Auggie, who only made it into a couple of photos. Thanks again for another fun session Carver family. See you all again next year! Above are a few of Sure Shot’s favorite photos from our most recent engagement session. We are so excited to start the new year off with this fun and easy-going couple. Courtney and Kris met us at the Lewis and Clark Boathouse in Historic St. Charles, MO. We started out there and then headed to Main Street to use the many cute buildings, structures and unique features this area has to offer. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had such a great time with Courtney and Kris. These sessions are always great for getting to know our clients better and getting to know their style so we can take the prefect photos for their wedding day.
Above are a few of my favorite photos from a wedding we shot in November. Brittany and Dan are great friends of Rob and I. When we found out they were getting married, we could not have been more excited for them. We had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session at their house, for a fun “life-style” session and we filmed and photographed their wedding. Rob and I started off the day with the girls getting hair and makeup done at Ameristar Hotel and Casino. Then we headed to Brittany and Dan’s home, where the boys were getting ready and the ceremony was to take place. These two had a short and sweet ceremony in the comfort of their own backyard. After formals with family we boarded the party bus for a drive to some of Brittany and Dan’s favorite locations. The first stop was the place these two first met, Steak N’ Shake. We snagged a couple photos of the sweet couple and then it was back to the bus for more crazy fun dancing and music. After a long and fun ride, we finally made it to downtown St. Louis. The couple wanted photos in front of Bush Stadium, where The Cardinals play, and The Scottrade Center, where the blues play. After a couple of pictures around the area and a couple of drinks at the bar, we boarded the bus again. We made one last stop before finally heading to the reception, Anheuser-Bush Brewery, for the Christmas lights they had set up. The lines were crazy long so we just took a couple of shots outside in the front of the iconic brewery. The party bus was so much fun and this wedding party could have ridden that bus all night. We finally made it to the reception at Trigg Banquet Center in O’Fallon, MO. The night was filled with laughter, tears and lots of fun. We had to get shots of the rings before calling it a night. We asked Dan to borrow his handkerchief to set the rings on for a nice background. The handkerchief was made from his grandmother’s wedding dress (the white) and the green shamrock was made from her bridesmaid’s dress. So, we were so happy to be able to get a shot of their wedding bands on Dan’s sentimental handkerchief made by his grandmother. To make along story short, we had an amazing time filming and photographing Dan and Brittany’s wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulation and Best Wishes!
